In the elevator at her job. I was going to meet the folks who provided us the backoffice support for our firm and she was the RM. Lord when I saw her as she greeted me at the elevator - all dressed in black - hair down - beautiful red lips tiny little body. Still remember her perfume. Took her out to dinner for the company thing - paid the cab in NYC to take her back home and next day met for coffee. Till this day she mesmerizes me. Two years and too many fond memories of the stories i dare not share. I respect the living daylights of her.!

Okay .. I was married when I met my husband, needless to say I was stuck in a marriage of no happiness or communication. One day out of boredom I went online and happen upon a very sweet and caring person.. Who lived in another country (US Army). We started to talk.. and he became my best friend. He stuck by me as a true friend through all the drama of my life, my marriage.. was there when I needed someone to cry to. One day, my husband at that time decided that I was not allowed to have my cell phone, internet use or allowed out of his sight. He was trying to hold on to the last amount of control that he had over my life.. needless to say weeks went by and I was so depressed.. not being able to talk to my best friend. That I got a email @ work, a form of miracle and a sign that no matter what he was there right there in spirit. I finally separated from my husband after going through counseling.. then my significant other and I started to really pursue a future .. we waited several months before he came to visit .. I just knew the moment I saw him that we were meant to be. 5 months later, he flew back, married me and then he deployed for a full year. We have been through so much, a divorce and depression on my end, a deployment and recently we just lost a child this month, but through it all he has always found away to make me feel so incredible special, completely loved. I have to say I am thankful for the internet.

I was doing some work on an Army base. I was invited to meet The Senior Officer and the most beautiful man I have ever laid eyes on stood up from behind his desk, shook my hand and invited me out for lunch. I am absolutely certain that there were stars in that room. The lunch lasted hours, we dragged ourselves back to work, and then went out for Dinner. As we walked along the Seafront, he put his coat around me and kissed me. It was the first time in my life that I was perfectly, totally, utterly happy. I can't count the times I have been since. It turned out that we shared the same values and goals, that we adored each other, that we would never tire of each other. We have been married for many years and truly, there are still stars.

At church. I was singing in the church choir, up in a choir loft. I looked down in the congregation, and there was this dark-haired man in a long grey coat. We were a small parish, so visitors were obvious. I asked my mom, also in the choir, if she knew who it was. Turned out it was the brother of our priest. Well, what happened next was quite a surprize. My dad was the Deacon, and we frequently had the priest to our home for meals. My parents asked our priest and his brother for lunch after church. So they came, and after lunch, the guys were in the living room, and my very conservative mother "dared" me to ask the brother out. And I did, and he said yes. We went to a movie that evening, and for a snack after - and talked, and talked. He was from a city about an hour and a half away. After a few months, he moved to our city, and we started seeing each other. The rest (with some more twists and turns) is history - we've been married 17 years.

Close friend (female) met her at a purse party. Gets her number. Leaves me a message saying, "I just met your future wife." Damned if she wasn't right.
Funny part is that this friend was on blind date probation after a total nightmare fix up. It took a lot of convincing to get me to call.
