both were big and thought to be unperishable. titanic sank in her maiden voyage. US got whipped in vietnam , now bleeding in iraq . tomorrow??

Thats why the Titanic was such a disaster... The snobs neglected to pack enough life boats cuz they thought nothing would ever happen to them.. that they had it all figured out as if they were God.

Her journey is deemed an ordinary course of business in one aspect but 'making history' in another...
Hitting cold reality stops her progress and causes panic among those who were too complacent to do anything earlier. Countless lives are loss because of failure to prepare and take heed to warnings.
It will be years before the 'riches' of individuals are discovered and appreciated. O' the shame!
