He looked pretty sharp against the falcons. Brett is getting a little long in the tooth however, and the packers offensive line has to protect him much better than they did against San Diego. The line did play very well against Atlanta, but one game doesn't mean they're the 80s 49ers or anything.
To help Favre, the team has to establish a running game, to ease up the tension on the passing game. Also, it would be a big help to the packers if a wide receiver can step up and be the go to guy. Also, if running backs and wide receivers can stay healthy.
I wouldn't be planning a super bowl party or anything, but the packers should win more games than they did last season. I admit however, that this is a fairly safe prediction to make.

Not a packers fan either, and no, he won't play better.
He still has the ability to play well, but the Packers, as a team, are not a good team. The Offensive line is horrible, meaning Ahman Green won't have time or room to run, meaning defenses can key on the pass. Farve will be pressured more often than not, and make the bad throw. I don't think he'll throw 29 INT's this year, but the Pack will be below .500 come seasons end.

I am not a Packer fan but i am a Brett Favre fan and I think he will play fine this year as long as he doesn't try to force plays like he did last year. He can't carry his team to a win like he could when he was younger. He is still a very good QB though.

Favre will have one or two good games early, everyone will say, "Wow, he's still great" ... then as the season wears on, his peformance will get worse and worse ... the Packers will finish 7-9, and the whole town of Green Bay will chip in to buy Brett a bus ticket to Florida.

Grew up in Milwaukee and I now, unfortunately live in the land of heathens, (Illinois),and no, I don't hate the Bears. I just dislike the people that keep trying to convince me that I do.
Back to the point. Provided everyone stays healthy this year, yes, he will do better. Other than the INT's, he had a decent, not great, season last year. After 1 week, they looked MUCH better last night, and will continue to get better and better. I'm guessing they will be 8-8 this year, +/- a game.

I think Brett will play better, last year he lost 3 RB's and 4 WR's.

I am a Vikings fan but i have to say that he might struggle and go to the 0-5 thing again, but end up winning the rest of the game.

Brett will do great this year if the offensive line gets their stuff together. If they do that he will be a force to be reckoned with.

He'll play better if the offensive line is better, the running game is better, and the WR's get open better. Otherwise no, he'll overplay and force the ball like last year.
