As to the previous answer (2 up) which appears to be made by a person clueless about music, how can one of the most influential progressive rock bands be bad? There are certainly bands that I don't necessarily like the music, but they are influential and unique - and to that I give any band credit that can "deviate from the norm". But Rush happens to be one I really like.
Most popular song is likely Tom Sawyer. In the Rush in Rio DVD, Peart mentions that the TV show Macguyver (sp?) was using Tom Sawyer as the theme song. Freaky!
But I'd have to say that I truly love all their music and lyrically there can be no better.

Don't mean to sound rude, but Rush has to be the absolute WORST rock band EVER!!! And ALL of their songs sucked, mainly because that lead singer's voice was so damned IRRITATING! God, how I always HATED that band!!
Now, having said that, I might also add that even the WORST "classic" rock has to offer, is FAR superior to this crap we are subjected to THESE DAYS!
I guess that Tom Sawyer song was the one they ran into the ground the MOST!
