I've read a few good books lately...

I'm Southern, so I liked this one, but I have heard even people who aren't tend to love this particular author's books. The only I read is called, Plantation by Dorthea Benton Frank. It's about a woman who lives in NY, has a crazy hilarious attitude, but ends up right back in South Carolina with all the rich, crazy, but wonderful family members she left. It has all those trials and tribulations that any woman can relate to. No crying in it either!

Another I have read: She's Come Undone- Wally Lamb... This book is NUTS! I mean NUTS! But it is sooo good. The really cool thing about this book is the fact that a man wrote it, but it's about a woman from the age of 4 until she is around 80, I think. It's powerful and provacative, and such a good read.

You should also read Memoirs of a Geisha. I didn't think I would like this book, because I am usually not interested in Asian stuff, but it's a wonderful book and then the movie is great, too.

And one more that I have read recently is, I Know This Much is True by Wally Lamb (again). It's about twin brothers. One who is normal and the other is a schizo. Very good book! Hope you find something you enjoy!

Not recently, but I have read the Lord of the Rings (it's good if you're into it, but if not, it's just really long), This Present Darkness, Confessions of a Shopaholic, Life of Pi, Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants, several of the books in the CSI series....I like to read fluff during the summer, when I don't have to think.

I just started a series by Janet Evanovich. She is a funny writer. The series is 12 books long so I'll be here for a while.

Scott Westerfeld wrote Uglies and the sequels Pretties and Specials. It is about all teens getting plastic surgery when they are 16 to look beautiful but the surgery makes you follow the government's orders. Scary.

Currently reading SNAKE, by Ken Stabler. Surprisingly, it's a pretty good read considering I've never been much of a Raiders fan.

Yes. Mitch Albom's "Tuesdays with Morrie." I recommend this book, it's an easy read which shows simplicity in life's complex ways.
