Try not to allow it to get to you .. after all she is very young, lacks maturity and you will always be the #1 woman in your son's life. Needless to say .. the relationship must likely with this girlfriend will not end.

It's great that you are trying to be nice to your son's friends / girlfriend. I'm sure he likes knowing you are trying. But let's look at this girl, what would happen if your son told you today they were getting married? You want her to be your daughter-in-law?Not me. She could be just shy, but I would speak to him about it and see if he has noticed how she act's toward you. Then ask him if it would be a problem if you spoke with her so she can feel more comfortable around you. If one day she wants to be your daughter-in-law at least you have all that out of the way. And there's no mis-understandings hanging around.

yes...it's definitely rude. But it isn't worth losing sleep over. You're son's only 16 years old, after all. I doubt very much if she's gonna be the last girlfriend he has lol Good luck!

Very rude....Tell her how you feel and if she doesn't respond don't let her in your house. Try to wake your son up too. If it's because she doesn't care about your feelings, she'll walk all over your son too.

You have to ask if he is rude? Yes. The only way it could be worse is if she came over and peed on your shoe. I would ask if she is deaf. Furthermore I would tell her that she is to respect you when she comes into your house or don't come at all.

When she comes into your house, she SHOULD speak to everyone in there. I mean she cannot enter a place without speaking because she does not own it. I am not telling you to force her to speak but kindly ask her if she is coherent.
Maybe you should talk to your son about it.

Yes I think it very rude however we are not 15 either... they do tend to treat us like we are invisable , not to be interacted with. Hopefully your son will tell her to be more sensitive and I bet if you say something to him he will.

This only reflects that you EXPECT something you think it SHOULD be.
Take what IS.
Then, relationship will be more comforting. No two persons think alike. What you think so, may not apply to the other person. Why wasting time guessing. Do what you fancy and please yourself. You have your own friends isn't it?
