I used to wear a pair of shoes that were too small, especially around my heals. It caused this redness to appear about 1 inch in diameter. It's not a blister it's more of a sore. I put intensive lotion on it and I've scrubbed it in the shower with a pumice rock. How do I get rid of it?

It's not a callus! I'm positive! I know what those are!

It sounds like you have irritated your skin around your heel. Have you thought about putting vaseline on your feet and then putting socks on them? That should help to heal them, make sure to keep your feet in the socks long enough to let the vaseline work. It will help soothes your heels, and also make your feet softer. I would also keep using the pumice stone. But be careful, if you are over using it, it could be what is really causing the redness.

What you have is a callus. It is a build up of skins to protect that area of your foot that was getting rubbed by the too small shoes. It will take some time for it to go away. Keep putting lotion or cream on it to help soften it.

The only you can get it to go away is to stop using those tight shoes. Only time will heal your feet.
