Highlighting them and pressing delete doesn't work. Any ideas?

You can delete the history of search bar on ur homepage (whatever it is either Yahoo! or Google) by following this path. Tools> internet options> content> auto complete> clear forms. To stop the generation of history uncheck the box of forms.

You can delete the search history on ur yahoo toolbar this way. click the arrow in the search box. Select options, click clear history. Follow this path also. Pencil> toolbar options> uncheck the boxes of enable auto complete and enable history> ok.

To delete address bar history, follow this path. Tools> internet options> general > clear history > set the number of days to zero> ok.

Highlighting it and pressing delete should work... but it will only do that for that specific site. If you do it for Yahoo it doesn't mean the search words you typed for Google will be deleted too. Just go to all the sites and delete from each one.

somebody has been looking for something they shouldn't be looking for

at the top of the page on the same line as FILE and EDIT you will see TOOLS go there

select Internet Options

then Clear History


this will also delete previously visit sites too so clear away all the evidence...and prey that the person you don't want to see your trail is not an undercover hacker!!!

Delete cookies and temporary internet files as well, I believe.

Go to "Tools", then "Internet Options", then "clear history" and delete files and cookies! Good luck!

Stop going to shady sites...

Clear your caches in Tools -> Options and somewhere around there...
