Paris Hilton is so stupid that she doesn't deserve sympathy. She came to fame because a video of her having sex popped up on the internet in 2003, and as you've said, hasn't done much since, other than make attempts a using her vocal cords to sell albums instead of making dumb comments for a change. Unfortunately, many of us found her song laughable if not plain annoying.
However, she's a good example of the superficiality of Americans these days. She wouldn't have earned the status she has of socialite/celebrity, had it not been for all the undeserved attention she's been given. Americans like her for the sex symbol she is, regardless of the fact that she does practically nothing of talent.

In an ocean filled with overrated celebrities, why should we single out just one? She is definitely over rated, but aren't there a good supply of talentless boobs playing on the radio all day long? Isnt' there a good number of pretty faces with no acting abilities clogging up the movie screen?

I think if you started listing overated celebrities you may never finish the list in your lifetime.

Here's the rub,........that's the only thing she is known for (let's not forget the oral sex video) is being a celebrity. She's not an actor, she can't sing, she's barely literate, and I doubt of she has ever read a book, let alone wrote a script

She was born rich and will die rich. The fact that we are talking about her serves her purpose. She wanted to be 'known'.. And now she is, Its a shame she had to do what she did to get this attention but that was her choice.

I have not seen the video and don't care to. I really feel a bit sorry for her. She can't and will never be able to live a normal life..

I don't consider someone who is famous for being famous a celebrity. She has done nothing worth anything in her life... except for getting pounded on a homemade porno. If she had taken it in the pooper, then I'd consider her a celebrity.

I don't see her as any differently than anyone else in the entertainment industry today. To me, they are mostly all people who are either rich or know someone in the business. I don't really care for or respect many of them. Too bad. I miss the days when celebrities had talent and brains.
