I am 49 years old and have never had a child. When I was 18 yrs old, the doctors told me I could not conceive because of a blockage in my tubes that prevented my husband's sperm ever reaching my eggs. Your partner should have a sperm count done to make sure he is producing adequate sperm. If he is, then you should have a laprascope done to find out if your fallapion tubes are working correctly. In any case, you need to find out what the problem is, and have it corrected. Any OB/GYN doctor can help you with this. Today there are many solutions available for couples who are not able to conceive naturally - For example, you can fertilize your egg with your partner's sperm in a petri dish and have it inserted into your uterus - don't give up hope - things today are so much more positive than in my days. Good luck to you and your partner.

We tried conceiving for almost a year before we got pregnant with our daughter. I was told I had PCOS a few months prior to even trying and that it would be difficult. Hubby is in th emilitray and when we found out we were on orders to Germany we decided to put it off and travel. 3 weeks before moving I found out I was pg. Doctor said if we were trying so hard to have a baby, I was most likely just under too much stress. And once my guard was down my body was more septable (sp) to conceiving! Good luck though!

You did not say how old you were, but trying for 21 years must mean you are at least 39. I would urge you to go and see a doctor soon, and maybe consider any other option like adoption or so...You will love the child just like your own and its mother will be happy that it will have a better life than she could have provided him...
Consider all options, I wish you best of luck

Seriously :-), the problem is very obvious that you said 'I 've been trying to get pregnant for 21 years'......because you have been trying too hard :-), and too long :-)*Have you ever heard that there are many more women get pregnant when they don't want, when they don't plan, don't EXPECT' , and there are just a few numbers of women has such a strong desire to have a baby, but her angel never EXIST :-(....my only son existed without EXPECT and we would like to have a sister or brother for him but EXTREMELY MAD has happened to me. Just for get it and let that natural desire goes, may be helping other poor children would be more wonderful than bringing up our own one.....THEN the goodness you have done will bring your angel to your life one day :-)....ps you should be happier than other women because you at least have got a love one to make a baby with you, others even not have a nice man in her life. :-)

Hi,

After 21 years it's not about relaxing now it's about seeing the right Dr's.
There could be many things going on but, you won't know until you have many tests run.
Does the sperm enter your utures, are you producing eggs, is your husbands sperm count high enough, are your hormones correct.
Go to the DR.

I think you seriously need to see an infertility specialist NOW! It could be hormonal issues, blocked tubes, egg/sperm incompatibility, slow sperm count, etc. There is no way to answer this without a medical evaluation, which might be able to help you conceive. Good luck!
