i heard gold is one you could always play if you pay, well silver is a free system you could play for free but you cant actually connect with other players? o yeah and before i forget when playing xbox live does that require you to turn off your normal computer in order for you to play and if so can you take your dsl modem to another room or is it made for that specific phone jack appreciate all answers thanks

As for connecting it depends on what kindof internet you're using, you shouldn't have to turn off your computer with anything I don't think right now as we speak my brother in law has his xbox360 hooked up to our wireless router and i'm on the net and neither of us are having problems (btw the 360 hooks up with an ethemet cable not just a regular phone cable.)
