well rocker chick, this is sad, but i wouldn't consider it rude. my wife wouldn't consider it anything because she would be laughing too hard, or pushing me onto the dance floor to give the woman the joy and embarrassment of my "special dance". that always is a source of amusement for my wife.

Some people just like to dance, and it's not an attempt to pick someone up. BUT, it probably would be a good idea to be sure it's cool with the person they're with first.

I don't know, if she was a ***** about it then yes, it's rude.

I think it depends on how the two of you look. If you are obviously there together then it is definitely rude. But if you seem to be friendly, if you are each talking to many other people, she could think that you are not together. But i think its rude anyway

Not rude. You should be flattered that other women want what you have. Hopefully he said something like: Thanks for the offer but I'm here with my girlfriend or wife. Then reached over and held your hand. Then asked you to dance.

That's what I would've done. But I am kinda old fashioned.

Them's fighting words!

But seriously, the time it takes him to say no or if he doesn't say no can be very telling.

He would have no reason to dance with a complete stranger and a complete stranger would only have one reason to ask him to dance.

Maybe she was watching you two for a while and didn't think you and your man were a couple.. (perhaps she didn't mean to be rude)

Yes extremely rude. But not as bad as if he had accepted.

as long as there is music playing when she asks him, there should be no problem.
you should be secure enough in your relationship and in yourself to not get upset. if you give your man the option of answering the lady with no interference from you would show your man how much you trust him.
if he acts in appropriately with her, then there is an issue.
chill. be happy that your man is handsome enough to be approached by other women.
What would you do if another guy approached you??

Actually I call that trailer trash and what matters more was your mans response to it. He hopefully put her in her place in a tactful way that would humiliate her walk back to her table. Or where ever she was.
