Hey Im moving to Texas soon to start college but my family lives far from texas, everyone's fine with me getting an appartment and living on my own but im still not 18. How old do you have to be to live on your own?

Depends on how responsible you are.

There are some apartments in the Dallas area where there's tons of young people, but I'd definitely recommend at least 1-2 years of college first before even thinking about moving out on your own. Not only because of the cost, but because it's good to have a roommate to bounce things off of in college as well!

Well, you can't legally rent until you are 18 years old here in Texas. But as far as someone paying rent for you, if your name is not on the lease, I think it is 17 strangely enough.
