because love tends to be a happier subject and hatred is pretty depressing

We all know hatred within ourselves. It is like a stone in our pocket, very real and tangible. We can touch it at will.
Love can be so abstract until a person finds the courage to accept the fact that love cannot be 'owned' in the same way as many other human emotions.
This is due to the fact that love requires equality. You cannot love someone unless they love you back, but you can generate hatred all by yourself and direct it in whichever direction you choose. Hatred is like a disease, so many of us are carriers.

So few know how to love and be loved. It is an unknown quantity which we crave to achieve.

It is the only cure for human malaise.

Let me use the words in a sentence, 'I hate to see you get hurt by somebody else but I love to hurt you myself.' It is a misconceived notion that hatred is on the opposite side of the pole with referrence to love. You may be asking about love but you may actually mean hatred. They can be synonymous. As to what their opposites are would be your next question.

because hatred is a dark art that many practice. it must be hidden for fear of unleashing the hatred of others, for being so hateful, people hate that.
love on the other hand is coveted, and appreciated.
but just because they're opposites doesn't mean they don't have things in common. for instance, people will always feel the need or want to spread both. both are extremes. love can turn to hate, hate can turn to love. both have four letters and so on...

I think it's because people don't want to admit that they're afraid of anything, which is at the root of hatred.

We all prefer to see ourselves as loving, in some way. Even a terrorist only sees him/herself as loving God and doing His Will--not a person who hates human beings.

You hate what you don’t love in another, and in yourself. Self acceptance is end of all hate. The reason we ask more about love is that love is a difficult emotion to cultivate or shall we say a higher emotion to create than hate, hate is easy, just don’t love someone and you already hate them or something about them.

hatred is not a very pleasant feeling,it gives out negative energy.ppl try and avoid talking bout hatred ,coz it makes their mood gloomy.love is 'rain in time of draught' 'peace in time of war' and it also gives human beings hapiness so ppl prefer to talk bout pleasant things like love.

Love is a positive thing. It radiates warm feelings. vibrant youth and good karma. Hatred is a negative emotion and it makes you feel bitter, and ugly.
