A semester is 13 weeks. Four semesters equals one year. 13X4=52 weeks or one year. A semester is also 3 months. 3X4=12 months or one year. Since you are pregnant for 9 months you have three semesters of pregnancy called trimesters because there are three.
The extra week is not considered in this calculation. It is tacked on at the end of the third trimester if your pregnancy lasts that long.
A trimester is 13 weeks, or three months. Is is not 12 weeks which is 4 weeks (28 days) times three and not three months.
That would put your third trimester at the beginning of the 27 week.

You start your third trimester in the 27 week of pregnancy.

I believe 29 is the first week of the third trimester

Your 3rd trimester begins at 28 weeks.
1st trimester is 0-12 weeks
2nd trimester is 13-27 weeks
3rd trimester is 28-40 weeks
