So back in May, I started my period. Two weeks later, I thought it was finally stopping and thought I was getting a little of the brown discharge. About two days later, my period comes back completly normal. The whole thing lasted about 40 days. Normally my periods are 2 weeks long on average.
I've been tracking my periods ever since, and this is the information I have now:
~may 7th, started. About two weeks later it seemed to start discharge, then went back to full on period a gain. ended on June 16th.
~Heavy bleeding started on July 4th, unusualy large amount of night time bleeding. Ended 13
~Start July 19., End 21
~Started August 8th. Cravings, sore breasts, tiredness. EXTREME crampage. Ended 14

I've noticed that I've been feeling more tired than normal and I get sick more often.

I've gotten a gyn appointment set for the next friday, but I was wondering what the diagnosis/treatment will be.
BTW: I'm 15, and have had my period for 2 1/2yrs. I never could track my period, guessed.

Go to the doctor. Most likely it's just your hormones, but it can be more serious. If you don't do anything about it, you'll be losing too much blood - can get anemic. They will most likely put you on a mild contraceptive pill to regulate your cycles.

First of all, it's really good that you have an appointment! A lot of people are, for some reason, too scared to go, but your health is really the bigger issue. Honestly...I'm not sure what could be causing that. But if lately you've been under a lot of stress, that can be why. 2 week long periods are pretty long in the first place, or at least much longer than most girls/women that I know! So it could just be something with your body that your periods are really close together & long.

You do need to go to the GYN. This bleeding is serious and I am not sure you are just having your period. You may be hemorrhaging and that is not good. Do you have a mother of woman to talk to? This is really serious as 2 seeks are normal but 40 days is biblical. If the bleeding purist's try to move your appointment up as soon as possible. Talk to your mother or grandmother. You really should not keep this a secret.

You have told complete strangers why not tell someone that cares and knows and loves you?

Okay now I have this same problem because I am 14 and have my period since I was 12 but I have never had it for as long az 40 dayz. Want Help! Get on Birth Control. It works so good. I mean I am on Loestrin 23 Fe and I took the pill while I wuz on my period and the next day it went off and once I get to the end of the pills my period comes on so consider going to a doctor so he can prescribe him. Birth Control doesn't mean you are having sex but its good to have them if you are going to,are already having it or just want your period to be regular. But I sleep alot to, but u may be anemic so yes they will draw blood. But ever since I have tooken birth control: I have noticed a big change in my period and how often it comes on.But it good to know I know someone with the exact same problem.

you are doing the right thing by going to the dr.

i do think that you are feeling tired because if the extreme blood loss you experienced and therefore the loss in iron.

it is not healthy to bleed that long. I am assuming your obgyn will be concerned about this and be very aggressive about finding and treating whatever is causing this, if they arent find another doctor. this needs to be taken seriously.
