Because what would we do if none of the above won? We'd ahve to re-run the election, and maybe none of the above would win again. The purpose of an election is to choose someone, not to not choose someone.

Because bad politicians would lose to the non-entity..... "none of the above".

Look at the pizz poor candidates we are offered during elections..... party lap dogs, candidates that force voters to leave a ballot position blank or vote for the "lesser of two evils".

Because the powers-that-be live in mortal Fear that we might conspire and write in a candidate that actually gives a phucque about the people.

We can't have that in a democracy. Why, that's communism! Somebody that actually lets the people have a voice in their self-government. Next thing you know, minimum wage won't be good enough for them and they'll probably want their votes to count, too. That would be total Anarchy!

We have to keep it good cop/bad cop. There is only room for two parties in this Country. It doesn't matter who's in, only who's kept out.

there is supposed to be a space with a piece of paper scrolling to write in the person of your choice. This would indicate that 'none of the above' slated candidates are being voted for.

Nevada has a "None Of These Candidates" option. It's non-binding and doesn't count in the election totals. Other than that, no states have it. It's probably because the two major parties don't want it because they fear they would be beaten by NOTA.

I work on the election boards and we have a right to come to a decision. Please grow up. People died for the right to vote and still we do not have a great turn out. I do not see why it is so hard for people to get out and make their voices heard. Mostly young people like yourself. You sit and complain about what you do not like about the people in office daily and when so one gives you a choice you turn it to undecided...How about Santa Clause or the Easter Bunny Your parents had to elect to shop to make them work in your childhood because they do not exist...Come Come Now
