The difference is in knowing your good parts as well as your bad. Confident people are proud, but humble. Conceited people think they're perfect and have no bad qualities.

I think there is a difference.

To me, being confident means that you believe in yourself and know that you can achieve your goals and dreams and when you set out to do something, you believe that you will do it. You know your faults exist, and you know what they are. However, you're not likely to compare yourself to others unless it's in a self-challenge to better yourself. This type of person tends to stand out as a leader, due to confidence.

Being conceited, on the other hand, has to do with being self-centered. Instead of merely believing in yourself and your abilities, you make everything out to be about you...and always in a good light. It's like the getting old saying, 'you think you're all that and a bag of chips.' You compare yourself to others to make yourself feel better and/or the others feel negatively toward themselves. This type of person is a type of bully, and often is not confident, but rather vain.

Hope that makes sense and helps.
Have a good one.

Confident - Confident of one's own strenght or powers:relying on one's judgment or ability: self-reliant.

In other words you know you can do something that maybe someone else can't but you don't brag about it. It's Confident-ial.

Yes. Simply, conceit is when you think the world revolves around you. Confidence is when you have a deep belief within yourself that you can do something. Grab a dictionary and read all about it...

Being constructive is a robust element, being conceited is almost a pig call for a pig named Gossip. adult males think of being constructive is ideal. self belief-"i'm rather constructive i'm gonna make the cheerleading team!" conceited *****- " i'm soooo gunna make it,I actually have a very advantageous ***. yet whilst i do no longer, i'm probably too good for them."
