If you get to the real stuff, not the crappy bands, then yes metal is a great form of music. The problem is that their are too many bad bands out there giving metal a terrible name.

I think metal is the most legit form of music. because unlike the other forms it speaks about the truths of the world. everything else(except blues) is just a bunch of sugar coated crap made by teenagers who havn't even been alive long enough to expeirience bad ****. also metal is one of the most technically challenging forms of music to play on an instrament besides classical and flamenco music. rap is clicks and whistles,pop is...well pop is crap. basically it depends on whether you want to know the truths of the world or stay in the same sugar coated world your parents made you think you were in all your life. sorry about the long answer but metal is my life, i have to give it the respect it deserves.

depends on what you consider to be music. music is a way for a heart to tell a story, music can unchain a soul,make you cry,laugh or just smile. Music brings back memories of our youth. To be honest,I can't make heads nor tales of what those people are trying to do with those guitars let alone understand what they are saying. To me heavy metal isn't really music but to you maybe it is! doesn't really matter to me long as I don't have to hear it!

I dont like metal music, too much screaming and raving on. But yes, it would be a form of music to those who enjoy it.

meatl is a legitimate form of music, all music has it's roots in polyrythmic beats probably originating in pounding rocks by "early man". Also metal includes many musical scales that have their creation in classical music. So yes!

I consider metal legit. i respect it. why wouldn't it be legit. it is music. i luv music. metal is even better than most rap/r&b/pop/country music!!!!!! metal is better than those genres of music so it is so legit!

I do. It's got vocals, instruments being played, and a lot of people dig it.
