I want a digital camcorder, that $300. My parent wont get it for me or help me pay for it. If i was spoiled i would have thrown a fit demanding they get it for me. I learned a long time ago that doesnt get you anywhere.
They wont get me a cell phone cause "Im not responaable" i wont run up the bill! idont even call my friends 3 times a week! i would pay for it!
And just cause i have a flat screen tv, a computer, phone, crappy stereo, and dvd player they got free, i dont think im spoiled but everyone says i am!
I am happy with what i have, im willing to work for what i cant have!
Yet people on here kept calling me a spoiled brat!
Just cause i want a couple things, does that make me spoiled even though i keep trying to find ways to get the money for them!

I agree with you, you're not spoiled. Just because your parents got you all of that for free, doesn't make you spoiled. Some people in my grade call me rich because I live in a certian area and I bought myself a Coach Purse and a Juicy Couture Purse, but I'm not. I worked hard for that money and I bought them at outlets and they were out of season. I know where you are coming from and just because people say that you are spoiled, you'll always know that you aren't. Just ignore them, if you argue with them and keep saying, "No I'm not!" It will just make things worse, trust me, I know. I had this happen to me too.

The fact you are asking yet ANOTHER question about why you can't get this or that or the other does make you sound spoiled. So you didn't get your damn fish. Too bad. So you didn't get your trampoline. Who cares. I don't have a flat screen tv, or a computer, or a phone, or a dvd player... and though that would be nice, it's just material.... and it's not essential. If you love what you have, stop complaining about what you don't have!! Then people will stop calling you spoiled, because you ALREADY have heaps of things that other kids your age don't have!! Learn to build a bridge and get over it because the world won't come to an end if you don't get your mobile or your camcorder. Another thing, it doesn't matter that your parents got your dvd player for free, the fact is, you still have one! Thousands of American kids don't have that kind of stuff! I live in Australia, and I don't have any of that stuff except a mobile phone? I don't complain about what I haven't got because I know it's just a waste of time? So chill out and calm down. You seem to be in such a rush to go out and buy all the things you WANT not NEED all at the same time.

Have you tried explaining to your parents (or yourself) why you need a $300 camcorder? If it was for an interest in making movies or something, I'm sure they'd be much more interested. If it's so you and your friends can goof off, probably not.
You are only spoiled if you don't deserve what you've got. A 13-year old probably doesn't need a phone in her room (at least, not a separate line) but a computer and stereo, definitely. TV is debatable, as is DVD player (since your computer probably plays dvds as well), but a cell phone is not out of question.
I would suggest that if you don't want to be considered spoiled, get a pre-paid cell phone. You probably don't want to be lumped in with the Disney crowd, but Disney has a really nice cell phone setup that allows parents to set all sorts of features like an allowance of minutes per month, time of day cutoff (so, no calls after midnight or whenever) and things like that. It's perfect for you, and it's inexpensive.
If you just want the camcorder to HAVE it, and you get it . . . you're probably spoiled :)

Okay look your a brat this is all you ask and talk about.. "My parents wont buy my a 300 dollar cell phone.. I wanna a beta fish... they promised!!!!" Or even "I wanna 300 dollar cam-recorder.. but they wont buy me one!!!" First off, You don't need none of that's stuff your 13!!! Okay maybe a 5 dollar fish.. but it could like die in a week. It happens. If you want crap and pay for your own things then stop bitching about it! My mom was a single mother and she did what she could to give me things. Babysit, do yard work, clean the house, clean someone else house, or anything.. Your cheap labor! People will hire you to do thing they don't want to. It will be low pay and hard work if you want it you will shut up sit down and do it! Your parent are doing what they can and I don't think they need you barking at them to give you crap you don't need. If you want a phone buy a track phone and buy minutes. Its the adult thing to do. And little girl.. you are throwing a fit, you asking stupid questions just to get someone to side with you. Its silly and dumb and grow up some. Most of these people don't give a crap about you or your spoiled bratty butt!

Stop asking for things. If you are truly willing to work for what you want then stop talking about wanting it. Just talk to people about extra work you can do, not about money or 'toys'. Keep your mouth shut about the things you want and when you get the money, go buy it. Until then, it's only a thing and stop trying to make such a big deal about not having something. THis is exactly why people think you are spoiled. You seem to think that it's a crisis, when in reality you really should try to focus on something more important.

well actually, you don't sound spoiled. i kno friends that got much more than that and they got it for free by their parents. but why do you want a digital camcorder?? but anyway, since your 13 and can't get a job yet, you can still work for it. you can mow lawns, babysit children, wash cars, stuff like that. your not too young to do any of that, you kno. so if you "absolutely" must get this stuff, then start putting up flyers saying you'll do a few chores for some money. it'll work.

You've got to persuade your parents in talking them nicely. Don't ever demand on something.
Make a deal with them, like, "If you buy this; I'll do that for you" especially in terms of study and chores. It always works.
If you tell them that you are willing to help them get money personally, they may help you too.
Be humble.
