What do I think of the arabs?
I think that they are just normal people from the middle- east. I think also that I am free to ask: What do you think of the americans? It is the same Idea. I think that they are like you and me!

i think arabs are people
overall, exactly like people everywhere
under some different circumstances - eg, great poverty - arab countries have 10-20% absolute poverty - ie, less than $500 a year income - ie, 10-20% of them on LESS THAN a 100th of what you might be on
how would you change if you had always been on a 100th of your average - for the same work?
quite a lot - you would be much more ignorant, much more vulnerable to demagogues
it would be impossible to scientifically determine any characteristic of such a large group
you would have to give every human a deep full experience of every arab, ask them questions and get an average of all the attitudes and reactions
and then you would get only a world average attitude, you couldnt say that that attitude was objective or absolutely true
the arabs [like the jews, the mexicans, the americans, the british, the germans, etc, etc] do not do anything - the arabs do not act in concert - when a person says the arabs did this or said that, it is completely untrue - the truth is, a few arabs or americans or germans did this or said that - there is no country where the democracy is real, and that you can therefore say that a people decided to do this or that - and even if there were a real democracy, it would only be a majority decision
let's be real - let's not make an error which can lead to killing of innocents, as hitler killed innocent jews and homosexuals and gypsies and minorities etc etc
let's determine never to say: this or that group did this or said that - for we will be 99+% wrong -
and it only takes being wrong to do evil
hitler's evil to the jews was all in thinking that 'the jews' had done this or that, 'the jews' were like this or like that
all evil is entirely in being wrong
eg, deciding that a group is out to destroy something, is therefore evil, and therefore it is good to destroy them
evil is wrought by lack of thought
somerset maugham on the human race:
their hearts are in the right place, but their brains are a thoroughly inefficient organ
hitler's heart was in the right place: saving his country from destroyers of it
his brain made all the error, his brain killed millions
be 'awary' of your own brain - remember we are only
1% rational brain
[neocortex, thin coating on hemispheres, still experimental in nature's laboratory, mother nature is not sure yet that she can make rationality, she is not that rational herself, she only made the universe because she thought it might be fun],
99% irrational brain
[ie, mammal brain [hemispheres], reptile brain [cerebellum], R complex, instincts]
and jump to conclusions with great slowness
lots of looking, very little leaping
or we might commit evil, ie, hurt ourselves, as hitler did

"Arabs" are a great many kinds of people from a number of countires. It is very hard to categorize an ethnicity as likeable or mean, etc. A major problem in the Arab countries is the problem that their religion is tied to their political philosophy; the Moslems there are often doctrinally opposed to secular government. They also often disdain the rule they have. So there you have it: often they do not like secular democracy (like Turkey), and they don't like the Moslem government they have. Increasingly, they are being led into a focus their anger at their predicament on far-away powers like the United States. Many Arab Moslems (most, according to polls taken since 2001) are not philosophically opposed to the principles and rationale of terrorist fatwas. This will ultimately bring a lot of peril to the world, but most of all, of course, to Arab countries. (Even the current Iraqi president, with all the blood around his ankles, cannot denounce the terrorist group Hezbollah.) It is all very sad.

I have nothing against Arabs. In many ways they are better then us Americans. I wish that we could take the good things about their culture and incorporate them. I also which people weren't so bigoted.

Arabs are people like any others.... They have their own heritage, customs and culture....you may find some of these customs or culture are different from yours....Variety, in culture and everything in life aspects is a good thing. We should respect the other and its culture.

I think they lack tolerance and this will be their own undoing. As an Earth man , I am embarrassed by them.
If there were extra terrestrials they would think us animals and humanity not worth existence, It's bad enough that we live in a world that still settles issues with voilence, they are the worst on the Earth.

Get them OUT of the USA.... After seeing 10,000+ Muslim Arabs protesting in Dearborn Michigan, with signs proclaiming that: "We are Al Qaida, we are here".... I don't think much of them. They are the problem.... they support the ideology called Islam and they support terrorism.... their Koran demands obedience and they give it.... their ideology is not about peace. Read their Quran/Koran..... nothing peaceful about it.
