We don't. It's an ongoing myth that keeps getting repeated. The myth is between 10 and 20%. Either way, it's not true and is surprisingly perpetuated by many respected people.

A normal person only uses about 2% of his brain power.
Our understanding of the universe and earth is so limited that we have made so many blunders. Look at the state of the earth now.
The brain is the last frontier in the study of the human body. It is wonderfully complex.

We actually use our entire brain. Pieces here and there coordinate to help our brain process all the information we receive, but it all gets used.

No, we are not using upto 20%.
The research says that even the scientists are using only 7.3% of their brain. Normal peoples are using 1.78%
