You need to see a doctor to make sure you haven't done more than sprain your ankle. Your doctor can prescribe anti-inflammatory medicine to help reduce the swelling or he can determine what would work best to heal your ankle.

I've sprained my right ankle 3 times, all pretty bad sprains. But the swelling was usually down a little bit within about 3 days because I was using ice, keeping my ankle elevated, and on crutches. If you did NOT ice your ankle or elevate it, or use a brace or crutches, that's probably why it's still swollen, because you didn't really let it heal yet. But, if you've done all those things, it could be something worse, like a fracture or break (if there's a lot of pain) or a bursted ligament, which would most likely require surgery. The best thing to do though would be to have a doctor look at it and see what's really going on if none of this has helped! I hope your ankle heals soon.

1) Give rest to your foot
2) Take some analgesics e.g. Indomethacin etc after meals.
3) Give little warm message
4) Apply some cream like Brufain cream or similar

It usually takes several weeks before it becomes normal. If yu do these things Insha Allah it will get better sooner. Also try loose shoes

See a doctor. When your body swells, its the body telling you to keep it still, thus the swelling. If its still swollen your body is telling you, something is still wrong. Go see what it is with a doctor.
