True. Insanity is no longer used as a medical or psychological "problem." Insanity is a state of mind in which a person mentally "loses it." When one commits a crime who has mental instability and deformaties in the extrematies can be put in a mental asylum based on their actions instead of jail.

I am not sure if I am correct, but this is jsut from what I remember.

A more accurate psychological term would be psychotic- meaning a loss of touch with the reality the majority shares. Hmm, methinks someone has some homework assignment.
