I keep getting measured as a 32 D, but to me I don't look like a D. Is this just because I am small in the band?

Because women's breasts vary in their shape and positioning. So one women can be a D and look huge and another can be a D and look average size.

Yes, because you have a small erband size, you may not seem as big on top. If you build up your pectoral muscles, you will increase your band size and your breasts will stick out more. Give it a go : )

Hello, soul sister!!! I am also a 32D when measured but people think I am just a big 34B or 32C. Yes the band size has a lot to do with it. Since our body/ribcage is small being 32 we look a lot smaller. The bigger the band size the breasts also look and are bigger because of the larger floor area. A 34D is also an inch deeper and wider at the cup than a 32 D. A 36D is 2 inches deeper and wider. For the two of us to look like porn stars in person we have to be 32DD. I love my thin torso though because I think tiny frames are sexy.

You would be surprised though that if we appeared on TV our 32D's look huge due to the added 10 to 15 lbs.
Fact: Implants look bigger than real ones like ours because all the tissue is concentrated on one area while ours are soft and spread out and need a wired bra to put them all together.

Yes. The band size also has some effect on the actual boob size because a 36 band would have wider boobs then a 32.
I'm a little curious where you buy bras, I'm a 34D and I have a hell of a time.

it all depends on the size of your body, you are a D in proportion to your body measurements.

take a measuring tape and just under your breasts measure the length arround then put it arround the middle of your breasts, your first measurement should have been 32, so, for every 1 inch the second measurement is larger than the first that is 1 cup size, you should get 36, if you get a smaller number you need a smaller cup size.

the letters are a relative term.... you are still only a 32 but within that size 32 range you are a D

Well it could be that you are just small in the band. Or you could be just gettin measured wrong. Over half of american women are wearing the wrong bra size. So be sure that your measurements are correct.

It's because all those supposed TV/movie celebs with implants to make them up to a D have fake 'perked up' breasts. Yours are the natural kind so will look a lot better, but unlike the fake 'balloons pinned on a stick figure' they'll match your body shape.

It probably is. Or you have a small ribcage, but not a small waist/ hip region. It is about proportion.
