if you are under the age of 18, our doctor says do not worry about having a yearly pap smear UNLESS you are sexually active. then, you need to. they are not painful, but can be uncomfortable. it depends on the person doing it. some are rougher than others.

I was 16 when I had my first pap test. It was not painful, just a little uncomfortable. Like pressure on my cervix.

I had my first pap at 16......... They don't really hurt they are just a little uncomfortable.......... It is very important that you get one yearly though................There are many reasons for a pap the most important one is to check for cervical cancer and other things like STDs

15.....it depends how the doctor does it. If the doctor is good at it, then it won't hurt a bit. If the doctor is too rough, then you will feel a pressure type of pain.

I was 20. It's a tiny bit uncomfortable but it doesn't hurt.

19 just before my marriage, back in the dark ages we had to be tested for vd before we were allowed to get married, no a paptest doesnt hurt.
