I work for freedom, money gives me freedom to do what I want when I want. I don't want my kids to have to work their whole life just to get by, I also work for their freedom.
I have to admit though I SHOULD be working for the glory of GOD. Sometimes I feel like I'm so bad at my job that it's not glorifying anybody. Most other people think I'm wildly successful, go figure.

I work for my place in the world. I was brought up to believe you earn your lot in life. only when you earn your place can you feel dignified. look at some of the people that have inherited fortunes from their ancestors, a lot of them are nuts. gordon getty comes to mind when I think of people that have not earned their place in this world.

I work because I have to. I'm lucky that I enjoy what I do. If I had a choice, I would not work.
