why would you give something? It is the first date..
well.. dont spend too much money.. If you are going to share something a single flower.. not a red rose but a pink or yellow, daisy's are sweet. anything other than that is way too much. Gifts are great after a while of going out. you are taking the girl out and paying for the stuff, in all that is your way of giving her something- you are sharing the time you have with her because you like her and want to get to know her. Have fun, talk get to know each other....
have a great first date!

i get it cos I'm English. No don't give her one on the first date even if she offers. resist the temptation then she will be back for more. is the date in a public place like a restaurant. if so then don't take any gifts as you don't want flowers or chocolates sitting on the table or chair next to you.. just take yourself and give her a kiss on the cheek. ( face cheek )

good luck with the date.

Flowers are nice. Chocolate isn't really a good thing for a first date. Don't do roses though. try something different like Lilies.

As a woman, I don't think you should give anything on the first date. We tend to get really repelled by anything that makes it look like you're desperate. On the second date, though, you could give her wildflowers, like someone else mentioned. That is a great idea. Original and romantic. We tend to lose respect if we get too many presents.

A pleasent smile will go a long way my friend...leave the flowers for at least the 2nd or 3rd date. Chocs for her birthday. Good luck

Give her a bouquet of wildflowers, not roses (too personal). Also, do not kiss her on the first date. Make her yearn for you, and give her something to look forward to. But, remember your manners and open doors, pull out her chair, etc... If you are not aware of the relationship game, learn it quick.

One single white rose my friend. Keep it simple to start with. You'll have plenty of time to spoil her later. Just don't push anything to elaborate too soon. Good luck.

Before I give her one, I usually give her a blowj*b... But the last one broke my favorite straw. Now I'm stuck, like the rest of the posers, giving flowers.
