I have 2 tanks going right now. One is for Goldfish, in which I keep shubunkins (both London and Bristol), Fantails and commets. I also keep a Golden Dojo Loach, 2 Chinese Algae eaters and a Pleco.
In the other tank, which is my hubbies', we have guppies, neon tetras, black neon tetras, a Chinese aglae eater and a pleco.
My third tank, which is empty at the moment, will be strictly for breeding guppies. I will also have a pleco and possibly a CAE. I also plan to buy a 10G tank to set up for a male Beta, but that will be a month or so before we get that one started.

I prefer Betas (Fighting Fish). They are hardy to keep and very beautiful. Get the male for the best colour. Add Neon Tetra. As the name "neon", this fish glow under lights. Get at least five to ten of them cos this fish likes to be in batch. Neon fish is easy to keep too. It blend well with Beta cos both fishes don't need water current from water pump. Next keep two sucker fish (choose small ones). They will help to clean up your tank be consuming the algae and waste matters of the tank. Get a set of good lighting -- preferrably those use to grow aquatic plant. This type of lights will highlight the colour of both Betas and Neon Tetra. But remember just to keep one male beta ONLY. If more than one, they will fight. Unless you choose to keep a few female betas.

I personally like Oscars, and kribiensis. Oscars need a big tank, and will eat any fish that it can fit in its mouth. Very messy. But are pleasant to own. They reconize thier owner, and follow you around the tank.Kribiensis are teritorial, but i love them anyways. I have a breeding pair. I also have about 80 babies that are 3 months old. Which are about an inch long and ready to go to the pet shop.

There are certainly particular fish you won't be able to shop with others. also you want to verify your tank is gigantic sufficient to help more beneficial fish. some fish are prevalent as fin nippers. they are not overly aggressive yet they're going to nip on the fins of the different fish making those fish liable to ailment and also making their fins seem raggedy. different fish might want to be very territorial and majorly aggressive in the route of the others interior the tank. study one in each and every of those fish you favor to operate to the tank and see if it truly is properly perfect with what you've already got. Aquarium fish part of craftsmanship shops can help you with this and they could help you with a thanks to introduce a sparkling fish into the tank to boot. in spite of you do do not ask all and sundry at PetsMart or Petco (a large number of the time they don't recognize what they are speaking about). solid success!

I like Angel Fish, but they are not the most social in a community tank. They can be kinda bullies if it gets to crowded as they grow.
