I'm 45 and have never driven in the snow. I'm from San Antonio, Texas. It actually snowed here in 1983 or 84. I'm not sure exactly which year but my oldest daughter was 2 or 3 at the time. We went to the store, but my husband drove. By the next day it was already melting. I never drove in it. But what memories. My daughter has been living in Massachusetts for 3 years now and has driven in snow many times. So,I feel weird that she's a pro and has told me all about what it is like and I've never done it.

I have driven in snow hundreds of times. In Alaska, New England, the middle Atlantic states, Nevada and Kansas. The drives varied from 10 to 400 miles. One time I drove from North Carolina to Pennsylvania in a major snowstorm. I was told twice to get off the road because of the blizzard conditions but managed to get where I wanted. You need to be comfortable with your vehicle and have the right equipment. Practice handling your car in a large flat area so you know how the brakes react and what happens when you do different things. Experience is the best teacher.

Quite a few times though not nearly as much as folks uo north do. In 1993 we had a blizzard and I actually drove in it in Atlanta. In 1980 I drove in a large amount of snow in Norfolk, Virginia. I have driven in snow at other times but these were really big snow storms.

OK, what a weird question, especially when I live in a state where it snows all winter long. If you don't drive in it, you will starve to death!
I don't know how many times. I guess not as many times as I have driven on a clear road.

More than I can count - lived in Alaska 10 years and Colorado until 2001. I now live in my home state of NC and we see snow but mostly ice. I would rather snow than mud....lol.

we lived in Idaho 3-4 years ago and you don't just drive in the snow, it's too thick, in fact Jacksonhole wyoming, where my husband and i married, would shut down, trap you there until the snow lifted, unless you flew out on a plane. my snow experiences are not wonderful, but experiences just the same.

As a truck driver, it's part of the job, but I personally stay off the roads where applicable. There are times when it is just not safe for a big rig to be on the big road! :)
