Make adult friends: Although he still may not want you out of sight, he enjoys making new friends. Step 2Get a laugh: He's developing a sense of humor and will laugh when something isn't right, like when you pretend to drink from his bottle or try to put on his shoe. Change the game and let him put on your shoe. Step 3Push a toy car through a cardboard tunnel. See if he watches for it to come out the other side. Step 4Roll him a ball and encourage him to roll it back. He'll get better as you practice. Step 5Dress a doll or stuffed animal in an outfit with a zipper. Show him how the zipper goes up and down. Before long, he'll try to pull down the zipper himself. Step 6Play with flour paint: Spread a thin layer of flour on a clean, smooth surface. Demonstrate how to rub your finger in the floor to make circles, zigzags and slashes.

I'm sorry, i know it is hard..my daughter just went through the same thing she is now 17 months old..there isn't a whole lot you can do..ice..infant Motrin. I bought one of those safety net food holders, you put frozen fruit or stuff into it, this way they can chew on it, and suck on it with no real risk of choking..but at that age, when there teething, they don't want anything. I've heard a brand new washcloth dipped in water and frozen, let them chew on that..but if your son is anything like my 3 kids, he wont want anything in his mouth right now. Just make sure he is comfortable, Tylenol or Motrin as needed, and wait it out.

Hyland's makes an excellent homeopathic remedy, available at your natural foods store. Our customers rave about it. I would also try rubbing a drop of pure essential lavender oil on the outside of his jaw to relieve the inflammation and calm him down.

If "nothing works" you might want to consider having a dentist check to make sure the teeth aren't impacted.

Take a cloth and wet it down and freeze it for a few mins. Then let him chew on it. An old wives trick that works.

You can try some wet gauze for your child to chew on. Baby Orajel. Some ice cubes for your baby to chew on helps. Wet washcloth, terrycloth toys (they chew on), Silly as it sounds, he/she can chew on the smooth handle of a hairbrush, new and clean of course. Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hi there, i hope i can help...
be careful on using over-the-counter drugs without a supervision of a doctor, its a no no for any health services to self medicate. i suggest that if your son is teething very badly, consult your nearest dentist... that way, you could ask all your unanswered questions...
