I gave birth to both of our children here in the USA and now am applying for my permanent residency. The last time I entered the USA was in March 2006, and have been here ever since.

Has anyone had similar circumstances, and is it likely I'd be accepted (for perm. residency)?

You become an American citizen when you legitimately marry an American. I'm not sure of the paper work that goes with it, but you are already a citizen. I would think it would only require showing your marriage license to the proper official office. I would think that would be the immigration and naturalization office nearest you.
