the robin hood connexion may be part of the fiction. i don't recall head holes being involved. thanks for being the only person who tried, though!

It looks as though he was a real person at one time. This is from an Italian site, translated: http://66.218.71.231/language/translation/translatedPage.php?tt=url&text=http%3a//www.dreamers.com/mago/sindicato.htm&lp=es_en&.intl=us&fr=ks-ans

It's just a brief paragraph about him being the founder of the New Convention.

His name is also linked with pagans, witches, magic. He is listed in the first chapter of "Book of Worlds" as one of the charachers in arch-type form, sort of an everyman, trying to right the wrongs in an all too human way. Here is that site: http://66.218.71.231/language/translation/translatedPage.php?tt=url&text=http%3a//www.roliste.com/detail.jsp%3fid=7238&lp=fr_en&.intl=us&fr=ks-ans

He is also listed in the mini history of the dark ages who creates a military order. Here is that site: http://66.218.71.231/language/translation/translatedPage.php?tt=url&text=http%3a//orbita.starmedia.com/ukrpg/mage/histecno2.htm&lp=es_en&.intl=us&fr=ks-ans

At this site he is mentioned in connection with an architects union: http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=es&u=http://www.oscurossecretos.com.ar/index.php%3Fop%3Darticulos%26task%3Dverart%26aid%3D539&sa=X&oi=translate&resnum=4&ct=result&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dstephen%2Btrevanus%26hl%3Den%26lr%3D%26newwindow%3D1%26sa%3DG

There seems to be someone called White Wolf that has Stephen Trevanus on a list, but has not background for it. There are dead links on the site, so it appears they are in the process of creating a page for Stephen Trevanus. Here is the site: http://whitewolf.wikia.com/wiki/1190_(oWOD) I doubt it will help, but here it is if you can make connectons.

Wasn't he the actual figure behind Robin Hood? That's where the name is ringing a bell here.

Or maybe something to do with trepanning.
