Amazing that HBO could put such worthless trash on the air, its embarassing for HBO and the idiots that put this crap on TV. Degrading to Women, Religion, Men, Children, Blue Collar People, ect.

To the poster that said this is no worse than roseann or my name is earl. I beg to differ. Last night Louie was in church supposedly confessing his sin describing giving bj to demons in hell, now last time I checked my name is earl has never had any cussing or anything like that. The show is just a POS, unrealistic situation and if it was real no one cares and the poor people you describe that might relate cannot afford HBO to watch this crap!

You forgot "fat March"??? 12 human beings, known weight of more desirable than 320#, bypass for a walk from Boston to Washington, DC. Hilarity ensues as all 4000# of them (and a pair of perky own operating shoes) walk through 9 states. those that do not drop lifeless of an enormous coronary compete to percentage a handbag of one million.2 million smackers, in accordance with some weird and wonderful formulation of weight-loss and small children eaten on the adventure. I swear, i'm no longer making this up... (properly, per chance the eaten infant section).

Gallow's humor is not for everyone.
The idea is that if you are sitting in the boat it isn't wise to rock it, but everybody in the boat recognizes the temptation to do just that.
Forget about political correctness. I think that is taking things a bit too far to the right of center. This show appeals to the people somewhat to the left of center, the ones struggling to make a living, to raise children and to hold onto their relationships. They are in that boat and they are laughing at themselves and at the exagerated displays of what live is like. If that is not you then this is not the show for you, but; it is not much worse thatn Roseanne or My Name is Earl in how it views people.
You just have to remember, you can always change the channel.

Uh oh, the critics are taking an overly deep look into a comedy show here.
It's funny. It's just meant to show some toilet humor and get laughs, which it does.
Now, you tell me the bit about dating the elderly was not hilarious.
I found this show more appealing than the recent season of Sopranos. I got more into Big Love than Sopranos.

i don't mind adult tv programming, but it's supposed to be a comedy. lucky louie is the worst.
degrading is okay,on comedy tv, but it's just not funny on lucky louie. he does not get it like more worthy comedians.
it's the worst ever show on hbo
and so was last years season of the brokeback mountain sopronos.
i'd rather watch adult programming that has something other than this.
i have a choice. and that is not to watch certain shows.
which is fine with me
