if you were going to look for someone to marry and spend the rest of your life togeather,what kind of man or woman would you look for?i mean looks,and personality and that kind of stuff.

I am looking for a guy that is honest and trustworthy who will stay true no matter how bad it gets. who will love my kids as his own possibly adopt them some day, someone who will love me for me and care for me. i am that way and i expect my huband to be the same and treat me good just like i would like to treat him good too.
make me feel like i am wanted and that i belong where he is, make me laugh and forget my past, and all the hurt that has been in my life. that will understand me and let me understand him too.
Looks don't hurt either he doesn't have to be drop dead gorgeous but i do have to find him attractive.

Looks is the last thing you want to judge a person by. Watch for humor, kindness, caring, just being nice.
My husband still can make me laugh, even after 40 years of marriage. Neither of us married each other for our looks, but because we just seem like soulmates from the beginning.

haha, well the day after my first date with this guy I told all of my friends I was going to marry him....reason being? Because he asked me my favorite band, and at the time they were this small undiscovered Canadian band. He was like "yeah I love them I have their first CD. Want me to burn it for you?"
yeah and what do you know, almost 4 yeares later and we're now engaged. ;p
But seriously, I look for of course someone who has an attractive quality. They don't have to be "hot" or even close to it. But there has to be something that makes me go "hmm....interesting..."
After that they have to be able to hold an intellectual conversation. And anything can be "intellectual", whether it's political, religious, scientific, literary, or even comparing the characters of Star Wars to today's spciety and how that relates to the norms and morality of today...etc.
They have to offer to pay, but not be a dick if I say I would like to pay for myself.
They should also understand from the get-go that I'm not looking for a FWB (friends-with-benifits) or anything along those lines. I want them to know that I am on;y looking to be serious. I remember when my bf and I started dating I mentioned marriage within the first month, it was joking of course, but it was enough to let him know that it was something I was looking for....eventually though not soon.
hmm....I think that's about it...oh yeah blah blah blah have to have a nice butt, nice eyes, great personality and make me laugh/.....J/K
I have never understood that though, when they say someone has to have a nice personality. I mean, a "nice personality" to you or your mom or my friends or me are all going to be very different depending on who you are and who's personality type best fits with yours.......anyway

looks wouldn't be that important to me because I am pretty open to race. personality he would have to be nice, funny, kinda shy, loveable, love kids, want a real life with somebody. He would have to love me for me. I don't want a guy with to much baggage and to many skeletons in the closet. No baby momma drama. but I would want somebody to make me feel whole. Somebody that instantly I would feel that my search was over and that I had finally crossed the path that lead me to my true love.

depends on the individual.
some may like being treated like c@#p and beaten by an ugly alcoholic and others may want to be cared and loved by their partner who has the looks and a caring heart.
depends what turns you on.
