We are both in our 30's and have been married over 5 years. We have one child. I can't handle it anymore. What can I do?

In my opinion as a woman, it's not losing interest in sex, it's due to emotional alienation from the partner out of bed. It's a lot more difficult to feel like making love with someone you're not on warm, good terms with.

A good question. I wish I knew a straight answer to give you, but I'm having a similar problem.

I would suggest trying to find what YOU are doing wrong. Note that you probably aren't doing anything wrong, but if you change some behaviors, your wife will feel as if you care for her again.

According to my wife, sex for women is a more emotional experience than physical...though the physical is good too ;-)

I found, at a time when things "dried up," that when I started doing some of the things that she usually did (dishes, laundry, assorted other chores), my wife felt more appreciated. Then the fire came back. Right now our problems are due more to scheduling (alternate work shifts) than anything else.

Stop for a minute, take a good, honest look at what you're doing (and NOT doing), and what she's doing (and NOT doing), and see if you can't change things a little bit. Also, if you've any knack in the kitchen, she'll appreciate you going to such lenghts as cooking her dinner (scratch, not box) and serving it by candlelight....even on paper plates, according to my wife.

Good luck.

Are you getting an orgasm out of it? Most women lose interested because they are not being satisfied. This of the most favorite food you like. You are willing to eat it over and over again because it tastes good. Same thing with sex. If you are not being satisfied there is no reason to have sex. If you are being satisfied, then there will be a reason and it will be fun.

often there is depression, low self esteem, children. could be a number of different things. Are you looking to get out of this situation or relationship all together? No? talk to her, and although sexual frustration will cause you to be irritable, let her know you are feeling deprived and if the shoe were on the other foot she might be suspicious or thinking you don't love her any more. Ask if there is something you can do to help. Get her to visit the doctor and get some advice on what might be hindering her.

Could she be stressed out about something? That can definitely slow down a woman's sex drive. Maybe there is a medical reason for it? Maybe she is tired after watching a child all day?

Have you tried talking to her about it? My ex-husband and I stopped having sex altogether. It turned out he was getting it elsewhere. We divorced and I met my current husband.

I am 40 and my husband is 63 and we have sex at least once a day (no he doesn't use those "little blue pills" either).

we dont lose interest in sex..we like it just as much as you do ..LOL sometimes the spouse just gets lazy and dont want to put in the effort ..try something new ... sneak in the shower with her or slide into bed naked ~wink~-~wink~ LOL spice it up a little ...sex is not a chore sadly some people mistake it for one .. id like to think not all women lose interest in sex but im only 26 she has a couple of years on me I guess ...sometimes people seem to get caught up in the stress of everyday life ..you know work bills caring for the child ect...and they forget about what means the most to them ..make some alone time for you and her I think alone time with your spouse is very important .. and talk to her chances are she is feeling the same way
Good Luck hun I hope it all works out for yah ..sex aint everything in a relationship but to me its very important part of one LOL

Because they never had that much interest to begin with!!
After five years of marriage, 99 percent of men complain so you are not alone. You will have to seduce her and be good to her and make yourself a good, clean man and keep talking to her and push her a little. Then see a marriage counselor together

Sex starts long before you get to the bed my friend. Perhaps you have lost the passion you both once had? Need to work towards getting that back in your marriage.
