I am sure they are classified as plants. You would think if it is growing in the ground and has roots then it must be a plant. It couldn't be an animal as they have to breath through their lungs and they have blood racing through their veins. This plant is getting it's nutrients through a different way but the nutrients are in some way the same but in a different form.

plants give off oxygen. Without trees we surely wouldn't be here. All manufactured food is made from some animal or have animal parts in them. So without animals we would be left with just veggies.

humans are not necessary for plant and animals existence, humans are the greatest danger for the existence of anything alive.
If there were no plants and animals so there would not be any human beings, since we all evolved from animals.
humans created god to fill their minds with explanations for the dark around the camp fire and behind the tree.

Actually, the religious argument is that God created all the plants and animals of earth, and made mankind the keepers and protectors of all life.
The rational argument is that natural food sources are much healthier than artificial sources, and that recycling technologies are nowhere efficient enough to replace plants in that function.

It is easier and cheaper to grow food than to manufacture it so conservatives will not get rid of plants and animals.

Plants and animals may not be necessary now as part of our food supply, but we would not be here 'now' if it wasn't for plants and animals. And what does conservative or liberal have to do with your question? Are you trying to make some sort of abscure, uninformed and uneducated statement here?

No they can't. Only plants can turn inorganic matter such as minerals, CO2, and water into organic matter that can be consumed by humans. We may be able to survive without animals, but going without those proteins would make many sickly.

we need plants animals to survive
animals have proteins, and proteins are made of unit structure called amino acids, those amino acids are 2 groups, essential and non-essential, the non-essential are made in the human body, but the essential grp cannot be made inside the body, so we need to take it from animals, as this group of amino acids are important in forming hormones needed for health and growing
plants have vitamins, the protein structures CANNOT be formed in animals or humans, so we NEED them badly
plus, with out animals humans wouldn't develop means of transportation, and plants are essential in absorbing CO2 from atmosphere to reduce it for us humans, as we cant stand it
there are many many things that plants and animals are imp, hope u r persuaded
