I don't think Texas is any more racist than say, Mississippi, Arkansas, or South Dakota. BUT I will say it's over-rated. Any time I see a "Don't Mess with Texas" bumper sticker, I laugh because I think it's largely big, barren, and littered with dumb cowboys and crooks.

I lived in Texas for a short period of time and in the south all of my life except for the last 5 years. People in Texas are no more racist then any other state. The south is known to be more racist then any other part of the country, but I met a lot of racist people from the north. There is not part of the country that is more racist then another. Anytime you go anywhere in a rural area or small town you are more likely to run into racist people because they have not been exposed to much in their lives so therefore do not understand other people and just go by what they see on T.V.
Everyone is racist to some degree, but no everyone is willing to admit it or do anything about it.

I am a Texan. I hope that is not true. Personally, I love learning about people who are different than me. I am from San Antonio, and I love the culture of our state--It is a very hispanic community and the hispanic community is friendly, interesting, and I love being part of a city with such a rich history and culture. I think most people from San antonio enjoy the culture of our city--black, white, hispanic or otherwise. So I guess the good news is that if Texas is considered racist--the world is at peace. Because I don't think we are.

properly latinos are not extremely racist in the direction of blacks obviously there are exceptions yet not usually they're used to living which includes blacks in all latin international locations there are black persons. even with the undeniable fact that the white human beings it extremely relies upon on man or woman selections yet Texas may were stated as that because this is cowboy state hillbilly redneck state. yet deeper contained in the south Alabama,Mississippi,Kentucky those states are a ways worse and Ohio too.
