I agree. It looks so tacky to see lumps and bumps in tight clothes. I think, don't they look in the mirror? I see a lot of young girls doing this, we wouldn't have thought of that in my day.

I think that people should be allowed to make their own fashion choices. There is no such thing as "the right to only see pretty-looking things". And this is coming from a very skinny girl. I hate it when people say "Oh my god, I shouldn't have to look at that." What do you mean? The rest of the world doesn't dress just for your eyes. If you don't like it, don't look.
I have an overweight friend, and when we walk around together, it's horrible hearing some of the things people say about her. She's a good person, she volunteers in a hospice taking care of the terminally ill grandparents of the kind of people who make comments about her in the street - but everyone is willing to act as though she violated their rights by wearing a tube top. What's more, I have actually been asked more than once to make her dress differently - as though she's some kind of doll I messed up.
People are human beings. In a world in which women are raped, children are abused, whole families are slaughtered, millions starve, AIDS is a pandemic...there are bigger horrors than an overweight female wearing clothes you don't approve of.
Why don't you focus on those things instead, instead of getting down on people who are already hated by society?

I am heavy set and I do not wear tight clothing. However I do know what you mean, most women find themselves wearing tight clothing because they think it does look good on them when in fact it does nothing but make them look worse. To dress a heavy person is not always easy but can be done. It is always a good idea to take someone along and ask there opinion and make sure it is not tight. You also have to remember our clothing is not made for one size fits all. Every heavy persons body is different in shape and size. They need to focus on the good side and try to flatter there figure, not use clothing that is tight. Never wear striped pants, or wear horizontal stripes!

I would wear things that are flattering for my body, BUT! Unfortunately, they do not make clothing that is flattering for girls who are a bit larger than average. I'm 5'10 and wear a 16, idealy I probably should be a 12, but I cant find a damn thing that looks nice on me. I have been to so many stores, it boggles the mind. Im to small for the "plus size" stores, but to big for the normal people stores, so I have two choices when it comes to clothing. Wear unattractive, shapless bags or things that are just not designed for my body and accent my fat. It sucks.

Why don't you worry about yourself and the flaws you have, instead of the size and dress of other people. AND even if you are drop dead gorgeous, which I doubt, because you wouldn't feel the need to degrade someone else so you can feel like you are above them, it is obvious you have some self esteem issues of your own or you would be trying to find the beauty in others verses making fun of them. GROW UP!!!!

I think it's because girls of all sizes feel pressure to dress according to what's 'in.' Fact is, most of the time, what's 'in' only looks good on a six-foot tall 100lb waify model. This crap doesn't look good on anyone!
Things were better for girls in the 80's because baggy clothes were in style. The fashions these days give a lot of girls low self-esteem.

I think everyone looks best when they dress to flatter their size and shape. But I do worry about these kinds of questions, as to what people regard as fat. I can understand if you are referring to people over a size 12-14 perhaps, but if you are referring to say for example, a size 8, then I don't agree and this is not fat. HTH.

just to let you know I'm a size 15/16, and i don't look that bad in tight clothes, if you have a problem with curvy girls, then uh take it some where else, cuz we live in America, and until the McDonald's and burger king stops u gonna see us curvy girls in what ever we like to wear, we don't care. don't be hatin', i dc what u look like , cuz your probably jealous. just to let you know, not everybody has the same body, that's y we are all unique, OK!! if u want to see some flatterin go uh, flatter you self in the mirror and take a moment to think. i swear people these days, what your parents never taught u respect. apparently. now uh.. u might wanna rephrase a question like that if you ask it again. and yes you are probably thinkin who she yellin at i don't have to listen to her, well uh.. when somebody says you're ugly as hell and doesn't like you, I'm gonna be laughin, cuz u got yours, and i dc if you're a boy or a girl.
just to let you know if you dont like it, keep it to your self, let it out at home, dont give us a look just keep walkin. apparently respect hasnt gotten into your heads. hello!!!!!!!!!!!! . ignorant people dont know when to keep your mouth shut. Wisdom , knowing when to speak and when to shut up.
Peace !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think there are a lot of overweight women who dress appropriately and sophisticated. I also think that the girls you are talking about probably DO think that they actually look good and they try to flaunt it everywhere. It's not a good thing. You can always tell when someone is flaunting their **** around, whether its butt, boobs, fat or anything else and it's never attractive to me. Generally I think that when someone "accidently" shows theirself, thats very attractive.......

If everyone thought and acted the way everybody else wanted them too. This would be one screwed up world and you would be in it with the rest of us. People wear what they think makes them look and feel good. NOt worried about what you think.
