If you cut them while shaving, if they hurt, and if they are big and blue or pop out of your skin. I had a friend have that surgery and she was in so much pain the next day but she said it looked alot better.

You probably should re-post this question in general medicine category.
Varicose veins can be helped with herbs like Butcher's Broom, Witch Hazel and with bioflavinoid Rutin. Also there are homeopathic remedies for this that will also help w/ the accompanying and related hemorrhoids.
Surgery might be considered if or when the veins become very uncomfortable or if they break or are fevered. There is some risk, however, especially in the elderly. The surgery is very painful and often has to be repeated every couple of years.

the clinic will say if you have them .... but in reality it is only a cosmetic problem ( then again the next answer is a bit better but i get 10 points for FIRST right ? ) ( oh come on for all you know she OWNS a clinic and pain makes you STRONGER )
