The people who protest wars would let terrorist kill their parents and children and would not lift a finger. So I am sure they have not forgotten 9/11, they were against war on 9/12/2001.

Iraq was a secular country and Sadam was a dictator but not a Muslim fanatic until America invaded Iraq. In Iraq people were free not to practise the syariat ( islamic law), and women were free to wear skirts and had professions. Terrorist organizations were not tolerated in Iraq. Those were the situations before America invaded Iraq and killed "collateral damages" of innocent men, women and children. 9/11 has got nothing to do AT ALL with Iraq, and the American politics' obsessions of the value of American lives against the expendable lives of other nations citizens fully explain the danger of allowing USA as the sole superpower in the world.

In my opinion,We need out troop home and life has to go on.911 is over and we need to change our foreign policy and try to make peace in the world.34 days the war between Lebanon and Israel is trying to tell us ( the world ) about what is really going on in that part of the world.I hope everyone wakes up and do the right thing. Now the American people need the vision and she can not dig her deficit deep because, she is broke and it is time to take care her priority straight before she throw her money away. There are few group of people who benefit from this wars and also people who cheat and lie through the process.Well,I believe in Karma and you take it then you will pay for.I never forget 911 and I do not know the whole story but I will not supper war no more and I am standing tall to fight in the right direction. We need international troop and U.N.peace Keepers to be involve. The American has done her job and No point for 150,000 soldiers to be in the wars.I urge the army and CIA to capture Bin La din who is the master mind of the 911 event and then the gang of terrorism.

I remember what happened on 9/11/01: The Bush family, in conjunction with the Neo Con movement and the military/industrial complex, used their longtime CIA asset Osama Bin Laden's assistance in carrying out an operation that involved highjacking and crashing planes into high profile targets, in order to have the excuse to invade Iraq and attempt to take over the Middle East and gobble up all that oil. And for those of us back home who dared to b--ch about it, these same NeoCons came up with the Patriot Act, which bypassed the Constitution and Bill Of Rights and made it so all dissenters would be considered terrorists.

I don't bother with protesting the war...that's just futile, no amount of protest is going to stop the NeoCon Agenda. What I protest is the Agenda, and the fact that these crazy bastards in power are going to kill us all if somebody doesn't do something.

So quit using 9/11 as the excuse to justify the massive war crime/slaughter going on in Iraq. Your attitude, which is clearly, (redneck drawl) "We gotta kill all them raghead sonsabitches 'cuase they took down The Towers!!"...congratulations, you've bought into the bulls--t admirably over the last five years, pal. I pity you. Wake up and smell the bulls--t your government has been spreading.

You are not looking at the whole picture but only one event. The war in Vietnam was not caused by such a catastrophic even but more than 50,000 men died. War is costly in human suffering and deaths...so for 2,000 people and some loss of dignity and national pride, you would scarifice what?...5,000 men...10,000 men. What price are you willing to pay? It is not a problem of people simply losing their will to fight, but more to focus on a resolution to the problem. There is no chance for a stable government to be installed on Iraq...it must be generated by the people themselves...so what are we doing there besides dying? I spent seven years in combat in Vietnam and saw people die, suffer and the US lose the fight because there was no end to the mess, and then men became disenchated, refused to obey orders, turned to alcohol as an escape to the stupidity of the war....it will happen again. How long do you expect men to endure the hardships of war? As an armchair general, you can remind us of the disgrace of 9-11, but realistically, what has been accomplished...at the cost of billions of dollars. I personally would prefer to be a slave of some dictator than maimed or dead.

Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. Proven fact. Our proud soldiers should not be sacrificing there lives in Iraq. I will never forget 9/11. I don't want to see anyone killed here in the US or anywhere else.

And the war in Iraq has WHAT to do with 9/11? NONE of the terrorists were from Iraq. There were no terrorist training camps in Iraq (only good thing about Saddam H, perhaps, is that he ruled with such an iron fist that terrorists did not enter his country). Whether we actually believed Iraq had WMD, we CERTAINLY did not believe that we were in imminent danger of attack. So ... what does the war in Iraq have to do with 9/11?

I haven't forgotten. I just don't think that 9/11 has anything to do with Iraq. I know this for a fact, having been there. I wish we'd put our effort into defeating the people who did 9/11, not invading Iraq.

blr931 - You should be embarassed and also ashamed of yourself. You have bought into W. logic that there was a connection between 9/11 and Iraq- and that is just plain stupid. NO person with a brain who has any interest in thinking for themself, reading and watching news ( from different places and media around the world ) make any connection whatsoever between the two - why do you? Are you related to W.?

Ill never forget what happened, But Iraq HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH 9/11. Why would we attack a country that had never attacked us?
