Smile sweetly, wish them an enjoyable day or evening..
you don't know why they're behaving badly.. something may have gone terribly wrong in their day, or their life.. just let it go sweetie.. be as sweet as you can be, with mean it.
Then, when you're alone..kick off your shoes, and wiggle your toes.. close your eyes and think of something/someone that makes you really smile.

LOL I know it's hard but try to just take a deep breath and talk very calmly to them. If that don't work, then I would shout right back, but you should still try to stay cool

Always respect everybody the same way. Don't loose your cool because when you loose your cool what you are loosing is your mind. Loosing your cool is unnecesary. When you loose your mind you make things worse. You have to learn how to keep yourself polite and cool for yourself.

Try, try, try to remain calm. That will really piss them off the most. If they can't get a rise out of you then they'll go away! Always try to avoid these type of situations, I say. They're NOT worth it! Stay strong.

Remove yourself from the situation. Leave for a while. You staying there to take the abuse only feeds it.

they will never know your thoughts so make fun of them inside your brain.
and realise they've got major issues and nonresponse is the best way to get them to make utter asses out of themselves.
drama queen problem? don't play along, they soon leave to find another victim.
