The original is one of my favorite movies and I've read some very mixed reviews on the director's cut. Some say it ruins the movie by over-explaining things. I haven't seen it and was wondering if it was worth adding to my DVD collection.

I preferred the original, the director changed songs & it just ruined it for me.
rent it before you buy it & see if you want to add it permanently to your collection.

Yes. It includes alot of material that was included in the "extras" of the original. Many of the confusing aspects are clarified in the director's cut. Some critics didn't like that because they felt that the ambiguity of the original was part of it's appeal. But I think the director's cut is worth it.

I would definitely say buy it. i watched the original and then watched the directors cut the next day and it was so much better. they dont OVERexplain things its just easier to follow. there are more funny quotes and more great music. it must be good if thats how the director liked it. i gave my brother the original but he still prefers the directors cut.

Seen it and thought it was awesome! I enjoyed the extended scenes and added twists. The packaging for the DVD was awesome as well with the darko bunny on it!!!!!

I never seen the original so I can't say if it ruined it. I thought it was pretty good through. You should rent it before you buy it.

I keep seeing that movie in Wal-Mart and Best Buy, but I have never seen and I know everything that has ever come on tv, whats it about?
