Might I add that no other WR can play the long and short pass, physically built as he is along with his blazing speed. Complain all you want about off the field. I want to know about on the field. Who would you like to throw to against a very good defense. Who can turn a hitch into a TD, and abuse corners.

But it's not "off the field." Off the field is when you get a DUI or smack around your woman or give up your multi-million dollar contract because pot is just SO good.

His problems are on the field in his whacked out nutjob head. That's what happened in Philly. He's a sick little poison, and it seems he's surrounded himself with idiotic yes-men/women/whatever and nobody to take him aside and smack him around a little bit. If that idiot can find some humility and play on the TEAM, then yes, he'd probably be the best there is, with Jerry about to retire. As it is, every WR who isn't seeing spots is better than he is...

IMO.

I don't know about that. How about Steve Smith from Carolina? He burned the fantastic Bears defense last year in the playoffs.
I would pick Smith for a variety of reason. Today, in 2006 he is a better receiver than TO. He's not a flake. He's not nearly as selfish as TO and he isn't as stupid as TO. Yes TO is a heck of a player, but he isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer.

Of those that are still playing, Marvin Harrison and Chad Johnson. But Jerry Rice tops them all without question.

Steve Smith - Carolina Panthers
Chad Johnson - Bengals
Larry Fitzgerald - Cardinals
Antonio Gates - SanDiego Chargers
Rod Smith - Broncos
Reggie Wayne - Colts

I would pick any one of those guys above before TO.
