I am currently charged $30.84. A friend of mine has a "deal" for $17.95. Can I qualify for this? If I need to sign a contract for a year or something else, I would gladly do it. I need to lower the monthly cost to me. Please help!

You have to be a new customer when the deal is happening. I have a better deal than your friend. I only pay $12.64 a month for SBC Yahoo DSL Express. When my service agreement gets close to expiring, I will be checking out other deals, like COX cable, who right now has a deal in my area for about what your friend pays. for SBC. I will also call SBC and see what they have to offer.

It would not hurt to call up SBC and check to see if they can give you a better deal. You never know until you ask.

If your contract period has ended, you will pay a default service price. They want you to call to re-up your contract. BEWARE, you will not always get the best price if you talk to a customer service representative for ATT/SBC. When my contract ended, I defaulted to $29.99 The customer service rep wanted me to renew my contract for 2 years @26.99. I said heck no and would rather keep my options open. I went online to att.com and was able to upgrade from the express package to the pro package for $16.99 with a contract period of 1 year. The customer service reps will also try to make you add on phone features in order to get a promotional price (for example the last time I renewed by phone I had to add on caller id to call waiting for $1.80/month to get the express price of $16.99.)

I use them and I'm pretty sure u have to be a new customer to get the deal. You get that price for a year, but it isn't a contract. You could also switch to cable and get their introductory rate, then switch back to DSL and get their introductory rate, lol. Good luck!

go to att online and look at service packages, " local, long distance and high speed Internet." when it won't let you, because you are an existing customer, you call customer service and tell them the deal comcast is offering. that's what I had to do. I pay what you do, but it is everything. they said you have to sign up online I said I'm logged in show me? they fixed it.

~~~try signing up directly through your phone company, when you sign up through yahoo, they have to pay the phone company for the use of the lines, and you are already paying for the use of the phone lines, so it makes more sense go directly through to the source~~~
well, you'd need to terminate your yahoo account now. (that would cost money) then resign up. try vonage, its pretty cheap to.
