does anybody watch the show and wonder why they do it if they get so mad when it comes time for the new rules..the family get so mad and they signed up for it .. i don't understan that...

My husband and I watch the show. We get a kick out of it. I can understand people getting ticked off when the rules are changed. Especially when the "new mom" trashes something of the family's (one trashed a date book that was a family treasure) or when animals, which the people see as family, are sent away. I can't see going into someone's house and tearing apart, however temporarily, something that they love.
I have to admit, though, that everytime the show ends and they flash the "if you'd like to be on wife swap" number, I threaten my husband with giving them a call. I tell him he'll probably end up with a blonde, thin, liberal cheerleader! Course, this last week there was a woman on the show who was a bit of a clean freak. I told him this was our chance to get the house really clean!!!

Ahh!! I love Wife Swap! Everytime it comes on and the standard neat freak starts cleaning up the messy person's house, I get in the mood to clean mine.

I like the show. It's a good way that they pair up the families. Each one learns a valuble lesson. I cannot believe some of them though. Some are total lazy bitches.... others are just plain bitchy... and there are some I feel sorry for.
But hey, if you let your guy/girl walk all over you and treat you like his/her slave, they you're an idiot and deserve what you get.

sometimes i wonder where they get these families from. they are complete opposites. one is a God freak,husband is a preacher and the other doesn't believe in God.
i think they really pick the families who are switching based on that....
they get mad because its not the way they see things. and its all new

I think that they get money at the end of it. That or they just want to be on tv, which there are alot of people like this nowadays.
