do people actually need friends? if so what for? i dont really have any friends. when ever i need advice i just come to you guys so what does a person need friends for? i mean i guess a friend would be nice to borrow money from but other than that what are they good for?

You are so right. I am like you, I don't really have friends too and I don't miss anything about it. I think friends bring you more problems than any any advantage. I prefer to be independent and do whatever I want alone. It's difficult to accomodate someone else in my life.

It is good to have at least one trustworthy friend. I only need one. Too many friends to me it creates chaos. Also with the computers now a days, you always have someone to talk to. But like a read in the other messages one does need human contact once in a while.

Could be a social phobia your dealing with. I have that too, however yes you need friends. Not saying you need to be popular but one or two friends that you see once in awhile, have lunch or whatever. If you don't it could turn into a severe depression and wind up suicidal.

Yes, people need each other. It is good that you feel you can ask questions in this type of forum, byt you need to have peers your age who have things in common with you in order for you to go out for a movie, coffee, just hang around.

Good question. I don't know ,but let me tell you what my parents tell me. Its okay to have friends, but you don't need them you can live with out them.your not going to die if you don't have any. we'll I still have friends though. I hope this advice helps you.
