Rechargeable batteries are only good for anywhere between ten and fifteen months. After that time period, they can't be expected to offer a full charge.
The best way to prolong the life of any rechargeable battery is to let it almost entirely die out, then give a full charge without using it during the charge cycle. That will make it last a little longer than if you are constantly recharging and using it over and over again.
Another important factor is that you actually charge it on a wall charger at home, rather than a car charger. Car chargers can't condition a battery, whereas wall chargers will. that will keep your battery fresh for a little longer.
I have a RAZR myself, and I haven't had any problems with it. I've actually been greatly impressed by it.

I was interested in this question because I dont' think my battery in my Razer last as long as the previous phone, however, after reading what you had to say - that's REALLY bad. I would ask your provider about that. That doesn't seem right at all. But my Razor I don't think last as long as the last phone upgrade I had. I wonder if it's something with the type of phone itself??? Let me know if you hear something.

you consider changing the battery, or carry a portable cell phone battery for around 20$, it will give at least 3hours of more talk time! hope it helped;)
