I used to kind of think like that...like I kind of believed that if I "figured out life" it would end. I would try to figure things out by telling myself that I didn't exist, no one exists and etc when I wanted to die.

Perhaps you are the only one in this world. Perhaps you slipped on a banana peel hit your head and are laying in a coma dreaming this whole life up. Perhaps you are a totally different looking person in the real world but in this one you are who your mind made you up to be. Perhaps when you lay your head down to go to sleep perhaps that is the real world not this one. I have often wondered that if i suddenly awoke from this dream and i was in the Thirteenth century how would i explain this world. A place were you can touch a switch and light flows into the room. Were turning on a focet would instantly bring you fresh water. "Were do these things come from and how do they get to you?" Someone might ask. "I dont know." I would say. Wheather or not this world is real is up to you and only you. You see my friend YOU make it real. Everything you do and say, touch and smell, love and hate they are a part of you and only you. Make your life beutiful. Make your life exciting. Make your life romantic. After all if i am only here because of you and you are here only because of me then shouldnt we both try and make it a more perfect and wonderous place? P.S. If you ever do wake up and find out all this is really a dream look to your right or to your left i may be laying next to you. If i am dont wake me just let me Dream. Later.

You will never know. I read a story about somebody who was joing to commit suicide by drowning himself. He found a magic lamp while wading into the ocean and became ruler of the world that was a paradise to him. The end of the story was him in a hospital in a non-responsive coma due to a vary near drowning. He was experiencing the whole thing in the kingdom of his mind. And of course there is always the Matrix. Maybe the machines are already running the world. Maybe tahe "crazy" people are the ones seeing the real world. There might be no way to know.

We are all aware that the senses can be deceived, the eyes fooled. But how can we be sure our senses are not being deceived at any particular time, or even all the time? Might I just be a brain in a tank somewhere, tricked all my life into believing in the events of this world by some insane computer? And does my life gain or lose meaning based on my reaction to such solipsism?

well that is a very interesting thought.
if the world was all a show in your head
then why not manipulate it into your own benefit.
the worlds at your hands.
take it at your advantage.
while this theory has not been proven
why not just enjoy and try not to think too much
if this IS all a show then why not have fun and go with it
make it interesting that people might want to see it.

There are many ways to treat this.
But I'm going to be very straitforward:
Given all your experiences, wouldn't it be a total insanity to wager that since it's simply possible you are living in a dream world, that you should act as if reality were not real?
It does not follow.
If you treat reality as dream when it is, in fact, real, then you are hopelessly deluded. If it turns out to actually be a dream, and you treat it as real, however, what do you lose?

If it's all a show... Who's putting on the show?
And if someone is putting on a show for you, then they have thought about what they're doing and they have some sort of intentions; that implies that they feel emotions too....
you can never be alone!
haha, i don't know, but it's a great thing to ponder

Yes it could be however everyone else has the exact same thoughts. They would have to because as much as we are different from each orther we are still all the same species.
