Why is my email banned from a forum when I've never even been to the forum?

Ok, I'm trying to sign up for a forum, and it keeps telling me that my email is banned. I made a mistake at first of not typing in the code with caps, so I'm thinking that may be the reason. I tried even getting another email address, and that one is now banned as well. It told me I tried too many times in one session, and so I clicked out of it and tried again, but it banned that one as well. I'm confused. I've never done anything wrong in forums to ever get banned for any reason. What's the deal?
